Lenovo said LePad tablet will be sold throughout the Chinese market at its stores as well as in the electronics retail chain. The online retailer has started taking orders for this device.
LePad tablet screen 10.1 ", 1.3 GHz processor and 2.2 of the Google Android OS running. Lenovo said that this tablet will be sold in international markets in September 6 / 2011, although it did not indicate any specific market.
LePad has four models: the only version of Wi-Fi 16GB price of 3499 yuan, equivalent to 534 USD (~ 11.2 million), and 32GB price 3999 yuan (~ 12.8 million ) version of Wi-Fi + 3G 16GB price 4599 yuan (~ 14.8 million) and 32GB price 5299 yuan (~ 17 million).
Lenovo dominates the Chinese market and also one of four large computer manufacturers in the world. But recently, Lenovo is entering the mobile market and began developing the tablet, smartphone (Reference: Lenovo set up "task force" tablet PC, smartphone).
According to Gartner, the number of Tablet PCs sold worldwide was estimated at 54.8 million units in 2011, up 181% from last year.
